Textured bark with craggy branches offers winter interest. Flowers are followed by masses of small, glossy red crabapples (to 1/2" diameter) which mature in fall and persist well into the winter.

Pale pink buds open to fragrant, single, showy white flowers
(1" diameter) in April.
Slender, serrate dark green leaves
Attracts birds and butterflies.
